Southeast Asia is basically made up of mainland peninsulas and a lot of islands. Countries like Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam are in the actual continent. Then, there are islands that make up other nations, such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and East Timor. In the mainland Asia, there are many cordilleras, or mountains that run side by side. In the island region of South Asia, many of the islands are made of mountains and volcanoes, because of the Ring of Fire. In 2004, 30,000 people died from a mass tsunami, started by an earthquake in the Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is an area of Southeast Asia in which tectonic plates sliding against each other start major earthquakes. These major earthquakes result in tsunamis. Those tsunamis swipe over the horizon, making the soil richer and easier to farm. Then, the farmers have an easier time planting crops because the soil is easier to work with. This is why the farming is better in the Ring of Fire.
Southeast Asia has many peninsulas and thousands of islands. Several countries are located on this mainland but there are some that are islands like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, East Timor, and Brunei. Mainland South Asia is crossed by cordilleras, or mountain ranges that are next to each other. River plains and deltas separate ranges. Most Southeast Asians live on lowlands. Because Southeast Asia is part of the Ring of Fire, it has many volcanoes that help give good soil for farming. Because of many earthquakes, it can be a dangerous country.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is an area bordering the Pacific Ocean that gets many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions due to plate movements. Even though it is dangerous to live by many active volcanoes, they provide rich soil for farming. That will help the farmers’ crops to grow faster and more successfully. Also, the dramatic weather conditions, like earthquakes, only occur when the weather is warm. Warm weather can increase the way the time it takes for crops to grow.
Southern Asia has many of the peninsulas in Asia. also thousands of Islands. There is a set of mountain ranges that run right by each other called Cordilleras and volcanos. Aka Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire helps with fertilizing land with ash it combines with soil to create nice land to farm.
Southeast Asia is made up of thousands of island’s and peninsulas. Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam all make up Southeast Asia entirely. East Timor, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines all entirely or partly make up Southeast Asia. The Philippines and Indonesia are archipelago’s which a chain of islands is. Cordilleras cross central Southeast Asia which are mountain ranges the run side by side. Deltas and river plains separate these mountainous ranges.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is large portion of the Earth that borders the Pacific Ocean. In this area, many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions happen every year that can devastate many people and their families. Tsunamis are also the effect of these earthquakes. Mountainous islands in South and Eastern Asia have many active volcanoes. Over many years the volcano eruptions help rich the soil for farming. So, when an earthquake happens in the Ring of Fire or anywhere else, they can cause volcano eruptions to help richen the soil.
The area in Southeast Asia has a mainland of peninsulas as well as thousands of islands. Several countries lie entirely on Southeast Asia’s mainland. Mainland Southeast Asia is crossed by cordilleras, or mountain ranges that run side by side. South and east of the mainland are thousands of mountainous islands. Earthquakes also challenge the islands of Southeast Asia.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is an area bordering the Pacific Ocean. It is in an area where plate movements cause a lot of earthquakes and volcanic eruption. The Ring of Fire holds a lot of active volcanoes. Although there are great dangers, the volcanoes provide rich soil for farming. Parts of the Ring of Fire are thousands of mountainous areas in the south and east of the mainland.
South of China is in Southeast Asia and has a main land full of peninsulas and thousands of islands. Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam all lie entirely in Southeast Asia’s mainland. Countries made up of islands are Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines. Mainland of Southeast Asia is crossed by cordilleras. South and east of the mainland are thousands of mountainous islands which are part of the Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteThe “Ring of Fire” is a circle of frequently happening earthquakes and active volcanoes. The “Ring of Fire” is helpful to farmers because it provides rich soil for farmers. It also might help farmers because the volcanoes and gorges might frighten any crop grazing animals (elephants). Also the ash might serve as a fertilizer of some kind. The volcano also might serve as a somewhat efficient waste disposal.
1. Southeast Asia has many peninsulas and islands. Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam are all located in the mainland of Southeast Asia. Many countries such as Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines are islands or have islands in them. The mainland has cordilleras or mountain ranges that run side by side. The ring of fire is great for farming.
ReplyDelete2. The ring of fire is an area by the Pacific Ocean. It has a lot of volcanic action so it is not easy to live there, but the volcanoes make rich soil so that makes it easier to farm in this area.
This section is about the land forms of southeastern Asia. In southeastern Asia there are also many contries such as Myanmar, thailand, laos, cambodia, and Vietnam. Theses lie on the coast of this region. Besides that there are also cordilleras(mountin ranges that run side by side). That is what this section is about.
ReplyDeleteThe ring of fire is a series of volcanous that make a ring around an ocean. The ring of fire is also good for farming to. They are good for farming because the produce volcanic ash. Volcanic ash is very good for farming because it is full of neutrients that the crops can takein. That is why the ring of fire is foood farming land.
Landforms of Southeast Asia
ReplyDeleteSoutheast Asia has a lot of peninsulas and thousands of islands. Six countries are mostly or partly made up of islands. Cordilleras are mountain ranges that run side by side. The ring of fire is in this area, it is called that because lava is hot and it will burn you. Earthquakes are very bad in this area, people don’t want them because it’s like a blender and will shake up your yard and house.
The ring of fire is a series of volcanoes around this area. The lava is very fertile so it helps farming in this area. Even though it’s very dangerous people live by volcanoes. The ring of fire creates many of the thousands of islands around here. I wouldn’t live there though because I don’t want to burn up in my sleep.
1. Southeast Asia has a mainland of peninsulas and thousands of islands. Indonesia and Philippines are archipelagoes. Cordilleras are mountains ranges that run side by side, and mainland Southeast Asia is crossed by cordilleras.
ReplyDelete2. The Ring of Fire is a group of volcanoes surrounding a certain area (lots of volcanoes mean a lot of destruction, and very hot lava). Because the Ring of Fire has a lot of volcanoes, the volcanoes make rich soil for farmers to use.
This area has a mainland of peninsulas and thousands of islands. Cordilleras are mountain ranges that run side by side. Mainland Southeast Asia is crossed by these. The Ring of Fire holds many volcanoes. Despite the dangers it holds very fertile soil. This is why farmers like it so much. Earthquakes also challenge the islands.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is located in Southeast Asia. The Ring of Fire is a place that holds many active volcanoes. This is a very dangerous place. Well obviously it is a dangerous place there are many active volcanoes! It does have some advantages though. It holds rich soil for farmers. Despite the dangers farmers love the rich soil.
